UUID Generator

Generate random UUID v4 identifiers using your browser's cryptographic random source.

What is UUID Generator?

UUID v4 values are commonly used as identifiers in applications, test data and distributed systems. Modern browsers provide cryptographically strong randomness, allowing this generator to create UUIDs locally without contacting a server.

SmartToolkit is built around transparent inputs and readable results. Where the task can run entirely in the browser, the page is designed to do so without intentionally uploading the working data to a SmartToolkit application server.

Common uses

  • Creating IDs for development fixtures
  • Generating placeholder identifiers for local tests
  • Preparing unique values for prototypes
  • Producing several UUIDs at once for a dataset

How to use this tool

  1. Choose how many UUIDs you want.
  2. Press Generate UUIDs.
  3. Review the generated values.
  4. Use Copy all to move them into your project.
Privacy note: This tool is designed to process the entered or selected data locally in your browser where technically practical. See the Privacy Policy for site-level details.

Frequently asked questions

Are these UUID v4 values?

Yes. The tool uses crypto.randomUUID when available and a standards-compatible random fallback otherwise.

Can a UUID ever collide?

UUID v4 has an extremely large random space, so accidental collisions are extraordinarily unlikely in ordinary use.

Are generated UUIDs stored?

No. They are generated and displayed in your browser only.

Before you use the result

General-purpose tools are useful for drafting, checking and routine calculations, but the destination system may have its own rules. Review important results before using them in financial, academic, professional or production workflows.
